By visiting the Skeema website (https://skeema.io, the “Site”), and by accessing the Skeema Premium CLI download portal and/or by adding the Skeema Cloud Linter application (the “Services”) to your source code repositories on third-party sites such as GitHub.com, you are accepting the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.
Summary
We use data you provide to us (your billing and administrative contact e-mail addresses, GitHub user name, and/or access to source code repositories) to power key features of the services.
We collect e-mail addresses upon initiating a paid subscription or license purchase. Any addresses collected are used only for messages relating to billing, security, administration, and other essential service issues. In the event that we collect additional user e-mail addresses in the future, we may send occasional (once every few months or less) updates about our service via email, if you’ve opted to receive them.
For users of Skeema Cloud Linter, you may grant or revoke our access to your source code repositories using your SCM platform’s site, such as GitHub.com. Our access to source code repositories is strictly read-only, and is only used by automated systems to perform their primary function. No human affiliated with the Site is reviewing your repositories nor performing manual action upon them, unless under your explicit permission in the course of resolving a support request that you have initiated. We do not retain or persist any complete source code repositories, nor materialized databases in binary form, beyond the brief time required to perform our Services (typically under 60 seconds per source code push).
We use cookies to enable essential administrative login functionality on our Site. We do not use tracking cookies or any other form of non-essential cookies.
We may use server-side visitor analytics to help us understand how users interact with the service.
We will never sell your private information or data, nor will we provide it to organizations that may sell it.

What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?
This Privacy Policy covers Index Hint LLC’s treatment of personal information that Index Hint LLC gathers when you are on the Site or when you use the Services. This policy also covers Index Hint LLC’s treatment of any personal information that Index Hint LLC’s business partners share with us.

What Personal Information About Customers Does Index Hint LLC and Skeema.io Collect?

a. Information You Provide to Us
We receive and store any information you enter on the Site or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our Site’s features. If you wish to become a paid subscriber, you must disclose certain billing information to our third-party service providers, such as Stripe, including your name and payment information.
b. Automatic Information
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us directly. Index Hint LLC automatically receives and records certain “traffic data” on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, Skeema.io cookie information, and the page you requested. Index Hint LLC uses this traffic data to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyze trends and administer the Site.
We additionally receive and store certain types of information whenever you perform certain interactions with a source code repository on a third-party platform, if the relevant Services have been added to the repository. This information is necessary to perform the Services' primary function.
Generally, our service automatically collects usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to our Site and its components. This data is only used in the aggregate. This type of collective data enables us to figure out how often customers use parts of the Site, so we can make the Site appealing to as many users as possible. In addition, in the future we may provide anonymized statistical information, not information about you personally, to our partners about how our users, collectively, use our Site. We may share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how often people use their areas and our Site, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal web experience.
c. E-mail Communications
In certain cases, we may receive a confirmation when you open an e-mail from Skeema.io in order to help us make e-mails more interesting and helpful. In the future, we may also send out e-mail newsletters with information about product updates to users who have opted in. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and account session. We only use cookies for essential purposes, such as login sessions. Our cookies only contain randomly-generated alphanumeric string identifiers, and do not directly contain personal information. Cookies are transmitted securely by using the “Secure” and “HttpOnly” attributes.
Will Skeema.io Share Any of the Information it Receives?
Information about our users is an integral part of our business. We neither rent nor sell your personal information to anyone. We share your personal information only as described below.
Agents
We use third parties to perform tasks on our behalf, and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. Examples include billing users who have paid subscriptions to the Services, analyzing data, and providing marketing assistance. Our agents subscribe to the same level of privacy protection as we do.
